House BF

Maia, Portugal

In a generously sized dwelling, the challenge of filling the space for a family with children was given. With the clear intention of keeping the areas well defined, without the more adult areas losing their importance in the separation between play and relaxation environments.

On one side, and thanks to its neutral tones existing in pieces with classic textures and materials, we invited and inspired relaxation and comfort. On the other side, in total contrast of color, but always maintaining the sober tonality, children are given dream spaces, carefully thought and elaborated to reach the best of their imagination.

Planning

We are always looking for interesting projects.

First of all, the designers had to re-plan the accommodation and dismantle several walls to visually expand the space of 343 square meters and let more natural light in. The entire area of the apartment can be conditionally divided into two separate spaces: common areas and a master zone. In the first part, there is a combined kitchen and living room, which also consists of two sub-zones: a lounge area opposite the fireplace and an area for receiving guests.
